Warning Caddy Owners !

There is going to be a spate of tailgate thefts over the next few weeks. ( an overheard conversation )
Apparently some one locally has offered £50 for any good tailgate to the local undesirables, who intend to go out and rob a few.
I am in the process of trying to find out who wants them.
But please take em off for a while
There was a how to on the caddy forum a while ago bout how to secure them.
I txt Caddyrage when I found out this morning but I dont have anyone elses number so if you know anyone who has one that doesnt get to a computer very often call em and let em know.

The security idea for the tailgate is to remove the drivers side rear light surround(the fibre glass part) then drill a hole through where the tailgate pivots, Then drill a hole into the tailgate hinge piece.

Once thats done, you stick a bolt though the lot when the tailgate is attached. refit the corner light section and your all done.

Only trouble is, once the fookers give up trying to remove the tailgate, they'll probs stick there boot in anyway.

I'm going to park mine next to the lamp post outside my house...

and then connect the tailgate to the 240volt supply from the column, then wait till they stop fizzing before I point out the error of there ways!

Unfortunately due to the government fooking things up so everyone's skint, i'd be prepared for theft rates to go up . Invest in cctv if ya can afford it.
