some kind of dye i could use without taking liner out.

if not how hard is it to change liner?

Changing the liner or taking it out and dying it would be load easier then trying to do it in the car. A stitch in time saves 9 Wink

remove grab handles, sun visors and sunroof trim (if fitted). The pillar plastic trims tend to break the clips if you pull them. You have to slide them up and lever them with a large screwdriver so the clips don't get forced. Once all pillar trims are removed you can lift the headliner thru the boot. I used expanding foam to fill the grab handle recess and then covered the headliner with black suede, be sure to use high temp adhesive otherwise it'll sag in the sun/heat. I didn't refit my grab handles and they were grey and replaced the pillar trim with black VR highline ones so all the interior was black Thumbs up
