Wide 13's FTW, just check out matty's cabby for stance not sure what to do yet with the rims. One the one hand I'm tinking ATS cups or Ronal Turbos, on the other I want some dish! 13" alleycats, tremonts or steffans. Not sure yet;) Matty's cabby is sweet, love the stance! | |

| Unfortunatly, my dub is now on a SORN, pending some bodywork resto. But, it will be back soon. I took it off the road before the salty roads and bad weather made it any worse, and most of the dash electrics have failed!!! Plans include respray, fitting my coilovers, and some sick 13's. It's gonna look fairly standard on the outside, but tricked out underneath. I've already got a few tasty bits stashed away for it, though I still can't decide between a 2.0 8v on a high carb diet, or chucking in a g60 lump though In the mean time I smoking around in a Vectra SRI I picked up cheap (should have gone dub, but it helps working at a Vauxhall dealer sometimes!). Watch this space for an update, and a new thread in the 'Projects' section..... | |

| well...............since I haven't updated this thread in a very long time, though I would share my progress over the last couple of weeks Basically, due to a change in circumstances, the golf will hopefully be coming back out to play on a permanant basis in the next couple of months. I'm aiming for back end of July/August, still in time to hit a few shows. so far I have fitted early style flag mirrors, mainly due to some little shite damaging my passenger mirror, and me liking the early mirrors anyway. Also fitted some boring road legal plates, police don't like my german metal ones for some reason. also fitted a couple more stickers to the back and side windows. this one being my personal favourite had the dash out trying to locate electrical faults, fitted a rare early Porsche leather steering wheel. Thought I found a little gem when I found this one fleabay, only to find a couple of the ed38 crew had one. Oh well, only cost me a tenner delivered . Not sure if I like it though. will hopefully have these fitted in the next few weeks, only had them since July last year!!! and this is the current daily/sacaraficial lamb. May be selling this to fund the golf's resurrection. Actually took it for a run today aswell, first time since february. Just needed to charge the battery and it started first time. Still need to change a few gaskets, sort some electrics, sort the gear linkage and get it MOT'd, then it should be ready to use on a daliy basis again. Need opinions on the steering wheel please my fellow rub-a-dubbers. Also opinions for wheels. I'm moving in a couple of days, a bit more rural, with speedbumps, so I think slammed on 13's may be out of the question. Currently looking at ATS cups, Borbet BS or polished Pirelli P's, still with a bit of a drop, and of course, the obligatory stance adjustments. Now, I haven't been to a meet for some time, but I am hoping to get to the May one, even if I am in a gold vectra. | |

| ha ha, can't wait. I'm really trying to get her back before the summer's out, but I'm moving house soon, and I've just set up my own business, so money is not as readily available at the moment but she will be back soon, doing a lot of the work myself where possible, working my way throgh the list of jobs to get done before she get MOT'd | |

| well, not much movement on the dub front. Had a mk4 Golf 1.8t lined up for purchase but the deal fell through thanks to my wonderfull bank chenging their mind and not giving me the money they had originally agreed to lend me So, what with this recession I'm stuck with the vectra taking car of the daily duties for a bit longer, but decided to make the most of it and do a few dub realted mods to it. First up is the cheap, yet somewhat obligatory stickers will be doing a few things overt the coming months, may even shoot over to a fendubbers meet in it (and hide it in the corner!!) meanwhile I have now got something for the golf I have been after for ages......... A GARAGE!!! WOOHOOO!!!! Moved it in last sunday, was great to have it out on the road again for the first time since february, roll on the long nights and weekends now spent in it sorting the niggly bits on it before it comes out to play permantly. | |
