i need to replace a front wheel bearing on my mk3, i know they are pressed into the hubs, but how hard is it to replace them with out a press? is it possible?

yes its possible but just take it to a garage to get it done.dont cost that much plus no hassle if nuts etc wont come undone!

Ive replaced front wheels bearings without a press and the last time I did I broke my vice !!

Get it pressed its alot less bother, take it from me If there was a way to do it easier I would have found it, press it ..period.

yea i think im gonna, i was just asking just incase it was possible to do at home to save a few pennies, i think ill just take the hub and bearing to a garage should be cheaper, saves them time too

I can do it without a press but it's a proper fight, it makes me sweat just thinking about.
