'89 Polo Saloon...

You may have seen this on another thread a few months back, but thought it would be best to start a new thread as I have new plans for it...

Got this Polo a few months back, but no major progress has really taken place, only little bits here and there as you'll see by the pics that follow.

Had the car transported today to where I work, where progress should be pretty rapid. Already have most of the parts to get this project going, just need two O/S wings. Any idea's where I may get hold of some ?

I must say mate, some of them wheels would look mint on the polo.. especially the 13" Jante tole de golf 1's.

Me and Ash removed the remaining bits in the engine bay today. Parts such as the Loom, clutch cable, throttle cable etc...

if you go to the bottom of the screen and click on to "la selcta" you can build you own polo.

If the project keeps going at the rate it is at the moment, it should be done by the end of this year/ start of next year Very Happy

alots changed since i had a peak at it when i picked up some parts from ash.

Where abouts is it you work?

Jon, the silver polo dropped looks good. Get yours on 13's, don't bother with a G60 conversion, get a 20v in there Wink

Yeah a lot has changed mate! Couldn't really get a lot done when the car was at home due to the lack of stuff such as ramps etc..

Done a lot of work on this since the last post Smile

Just got some welding too finish off and then the car is going off for paint with Jay in the middle of next month. Also bought most of the parts for the restoration, including brand new G60 Steelies, brake shoes, brake disks, bearings all round, bushes etc. I'll get some pictures taken tomorrow Thumbs up
