I'm hoping to do something to the car every weekend atleast, should mean i can get a lot done this summer
Today I started looking for rust under and around the front bumper area, and I was pleasantly surprised.
Firstly, I removed the bumper which took about an hour as the bolts were in the most awkward position and didn't realise the bumper would come off easier if i unbolted the bumper irons from behind
. As you can see there is rust just below where the grill would be
positioned.
After a few minuites of scrubbing , the front end of the car looked a whole lot better
I was going to sand down, filler then primer the rust part, but then it started raining. Again.
So I'm putting it off until I know it's not going to rain
For now I'm going to get the bumper irons and support shot blasted, then rattle can them black
Oh and also found a pair of center caps for the steelies
Slow progress, but it'll be worth it once it stops raining for more than an hour
