Ghetto Kart - Homebrew Goodness

Well as skip finds go this was full of
win. Pretty much the front tyres were phooked though. Gave it a good
service, new cables etc and oil change. Set the carb and it was good
to go.






New tyres arrived today.

Its halfway there billo bear ill get some pics to prove the lows I need to countersink all the bolt heads on the underside to lower it more

Good find i used to tare round cowley road in my cart thing used to kill us trying to start it .

yeah i take mine up to the car park at the back of my house Mine was an utter b***h to start but the carb needed setting up now its first or second pull.

I hope those tyres dont cause a blowout.

It looks like the front wheels are actually balls.

The arm's shaped like that cos its the wrong one !

It may have been done to aid the turn in though (or ackerman)

but I very much doubt it though.

Chris the tyres shouldn't be more than about 20psi.

I look forward to having a hoon in it though chris, get it up wild tracks with us one sunday and my ten yr old will show you how to drive it properly !!

Your more than welcome guy once i ahve the engine set up. I have ordered those gx 140 valve springs and still looking for a gx200 cam.

Big thanks to Guy for setting the engine up today hope to get it bolted back into the kart tomorrow so will see what the derestriction has done
