Hi guys,

I'm sure someone will know the answer, really need to know as soon as possible as it's stopping a mate use his car over the bank holiday weekend Advice needed ASAP; Throttle reset on a 20v Passat Icon_cry

The battery in his Passat 20v (not sure if it's turbo) died, he replaced the battery, now it's having problems idleing and lumpy accelration

Reading here; http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Throttle_Body_Alignment_%28TBA%29 about throttle body alignment says how to reset the throttle as it's reset when disconnecting the battery

Does anyone know where he can get it done today/tomorrow morning and roughly how much it costs? Is it dealership only?

Cheers in advance Advice needed ASAP; Throttle reset on a 20v Passat Icon_cheers

Not 100% certain on this but i am sure if you turn the ignition on and leave it for a few minutes without starting the engine the car will realign the throttle body if the battery has been off. Then the car when running will be in self learn mode and you will find the idle a bit up and down at times. Takes about 50miles of driving for it to re adapt itself
