| Personally I'm a nerd when it comes to films. I was just wondering who else enjoys a good film? Jot down a few of your favourites and ones you would recommend to other people to give us all idea about what to watch next. I'll go first English Speaking films: lock stock snatch the Shawshank Redemption (a must see!) the Alien quadrilogy fight club leon forest gump harry brown pulp fiction shaun of the dead im bruge green mile blade runner donie darko american history x lucky number sleven waiting Other languages: Battle royal city of god (another must see) delicatessen city of lost children old boy its a beautiful life A long list but watch any of them and you will not be disappointed | |

Fargo open water lord of the rings (i watched it in the cinema and when it finished i actually shouted "is that f*cking it? 3 hours wasted") I'm confused how you think Harry Brown and Donnie Darko are bad films but rate Donky Punch and Constantine as some of your top films Each to their own I guess. Still some damn good movies in that list though! | |

| i dont rate taxi that much either..... films are like music, so many different styles to suit so many different tastes, which is what makes threads like this interesting! i've got a really short attention span so get bored easily if a film loses pace or has a few irrelevant scenes etc, harry brown (a kind of british gran turino) had loads of slow irrelevant scenes which ruined an average film. dont get me started on donnie darko, it was just utter rubbish. i couldnt get into it at all, i've read all the reviews and know its cult status but still can't watch it all the way thru. i wouldnt say donkey punch was amazing by any means but it kept me entertained all the way thru and helps that i've got a soft spot for jaime winston | |

Casino and Goodfellas - awesome dialogue throughout both films.
