As i didnt fancy queueing at Santa pod today i decided to go to this smaller show...and was glad i did... great atmosphere very chilled and while it was mainly air-cooled we were made to feel welcome. There were some H2O cars to check out too. Lots of stands and Roast Pork n stuffing rolls for lunch along with a "proper" coffee stand and live music made the whole day out a pleasure, but warmth and sunshine with a slight breeze helped too. Just a few random pics to give you an idea of the day...but the highlight for me was this mad golf... i will let the pics tell the story....

I have no idea what it is, and have never seen one before, but that yellow pick-up thing in the last pics is pure awesome. I want one.

love the passat wagen, but i wouldnt rock hubcaps, rusty steels on show all the way

That's the original parts truck used at the factory that the buses are based on

Its actually a Tempo Matador, which was a different company, who made pick-ups before Volkswagen did, and used the air cooled flat 4 VW engine, mid mounted and front wheel drive. When VW started producing single cabs, they stopped selling VW engines to Tempo, and they ended up using an Austin engine (IIRC) and totally redesigning the body style. Rare as.
