Dragon VR - relocated battery and shiz!

exhaust manifold looks really tidy!

looks and sounds like its coming together quite nicely so far.

what are you doing for the turbo oil feed / return? Is there a filter housing sandwich plate kit for the VR6?

Yeh the exhaust manifold was a bargain I got it for £110 roughly, you have to be carefull cos there's loads of manifolds on eBay but you need to get one with the wastegate on the right side, oil feed will be coming off above the oil filter housing from one of the sensors not sure which one yet, the return will go straight into the sump which I need to get a fitting welded on, also use that for the oil catch tank return, gonna get a mocal oil cooler which needs a sandwich fitting which attatches to the standard oil cooler.

So much to get, I'm getting scared how much this is gonna cost

if your putting a oil cooler sandwich plate on then your old oil cooler can be binned cos you don't won't need it anymore,

You going external wastegate then i take??

Hello mate it's back on the road, bought another vr engine off eBay and wacked it in for the mean time, got the head back all done just needs the funds for some nice new pistons and conrods have you got yours back yet???

i knew you couldn't resit doing a forged bottom end!! Lol

Nah not yet hopefully this weekend all being well!

picture of the engine i got off ebay being put, this was a rush so the old girl would be road worthy for springfest

bit of an impluse buy for the current engine as i wont need it with the short inlet on eventually, difference is it says 2.8 on it rather than doch

also got the arp head bolts finally after waiting 4 weeks for them from america

oh and i got the head back all nice and shiny

this car very much makes me think i want to do a vrt conversion.

Do it matey sound of the vr engine with turbo and a dump i just can't wait lol

right peeps not much happening on the turbo front as im broke as a joke but did a little relocation of the batter and power steering resevoir, also fitted a 1lt washer bottle

so this is what it did look like



and this is what it looks like now



batterys in the boot and bottle and steering resevoir now look like this





still got a bit of messing about with the wires and general tidying

oh and did you see me run out of the barn like a little girl when i heard you coming earlier..... if you keep doing that i'm going to have to VR mine. its immense. i heard you spinning the wheels in 2nd? and 3rd? as you went down rampton road!!!!

i did see you run out like a girl lol, i beeped when i saw you, i dropped it into first so it was 1st to 2nd im affraid not as good but i do occasionly get a little spin into 3rd
