I have some 165/45 on my 8 inch wide 928's and that's some stupid stretch and I'm changing them so I def wouldn't go with the 155's way to much

I tryed a 195/45 on the rear today and just fitted in the arch but will need the lips grinding away when it goes lower. And the fronts are my main problem they def need to go. But might put the 165/45 on the front which were on the back instead of the 165/40 that are on there at the min. Or its gunna be 195/45 all round grr f***ing thee sizes.

O and sorry for thread jacking lol

youll be suprise what difference the extre 5% profile makes mate, 195/40 are easily the best tyre for 16x8s. imo obviously.

depends what look you want. you could run the same as the rear, so less stretch. or to match the stretch of the rear, 165/45 would be the closest.
All depends on the brand too though, think you have nankangs? which are very square tread and dont stretch very well imo.

i actually prefer the 452s, the 912 have quite a strong sidwalls which makes them a better handling tyre.

I have 452s on my 20's, they seem to stretch pretty well over the rears, and are a good on wear/ride (apart from the one that popped off last week Embarassed )

the first tyre on those rims were 195 40's all round and they looked well

the 165's was a crazy idea that worked but was too much for some, everyone has an opinion

good luck ben
