moulded bodykit attacking the front

basically i want to get rid of or alter the moulded front bumper on my mk2 its in the project cars section, would like to just cut off the bottom section and replace with something else or just leave it and clean it up so its presentable, any one got any advice on how much work id be looking at to get it done and any suggestions with what to replace it with or how to alter it to look half decent?

mite just b worth buying another big bumper and using that one as a spare if need b but tbh i cant see a way of gettin it off mate.
