buying a car without tax

just found a car i might buy which has no tax,

i can get my insurance swapped over straight away but was wondering whats the score with driving the car without tax for a couple of days until the docs come through,

if u buy the car remy u get the lil green bit of v5 for yaself take that with ur insurance letter of cover n mot n get tax ? simple the lil green bit is still proof the car is urs but if u cnt get a copy of insurance change over (via fax email) u wnt b able to tax it as u need all three mind u me mum did mine online for us last time as i was jobless n she didnt need n e thing except the reg plate of vehicle

you can do it online like charlie said as its all done by computer they will be able to check that u have tax but will just moan that ur not displaying ur disc just tell em its in da post! yo

But if you get cocky with the old bill or you get one thats in a bad mood they can nick you and fine you !!!!!!!!!!!
