i've dropped my side reapter cable into the inner wing on mk1 ,i've tryd fishin it out, but no joy can any1 help

as lee says, wheel and liner. unless you can get something in there to grab it, like one of those grabby things (havent got a clue what they called) mechanics sometimes have em to pick stuff up.

Tom I've only just seen this post, I've done exactly the same thing and i used a wire coat hanger with masking tape on, to fish around till I got it out.

Oh and yes the screws always rust.

Good job and that sockets still here for you.

i always used a widow maker, its the only jack that kinda fitted under my car Razz

yeah it is an arse of a job aint it. i tend to use a grinder to get the screw heads off, then bin the arch liner so i havent got to put it back on again and remove whats left of the screws with mole grips.

actually much quicker
