| i've dropped my side reapter cable into the inner wing on mk1 ,i've tryd fishin it out, but no joy can any1 help | |

| as lee says, wheel and liner. unless you can get something in there to grab it, like one of those grabby things (havent got a clue what they called) mechanics sometimes have em to pick stuff up. | |

Use a scissor jack(widow maker) to raise the car a little for the jack to go under. Only use a scissor jack when lifting on the sill jack point. Use the trolley jack under the wishbone mount where its solid - BenjaminHeavey wrote:

| Tom I've only just seen this post, I've done exactly the same thing and i used a wire coat hanger with masking tape on, to fish around till I got it out. Oh and yes the screws always rust. Good job and that sockets still here for you. | |

yeah it is an arse of a job aint it. i tend to use a grinder to get the screw heads off, then bin the arch liner so i havent got to put it back on again and remove whats left of the screws with mole grips. actually much quicker | |
