| Mates mk4 is burning roughly a pint of oil every 300 miles, its on 86 k just had the headgasket and valvestem seals replaced what else could it be? only think i could think would be the rings? | |

| definately burning it and not leaking?
gutless as fook 1.6 in a heavy car is mad stress on the bottom end probably shot rings...

| whoever done the gasket should have checked the rings in the 1st place when they were stripping engine down | |
