| Right basically it hasnt worked since i got it back from the garage a fe months back, meaning it doesnt give a reading on the dash i have checked for the usual air blocks etc. It does give a reading when it warms up in traffic but not anything near 90 where it should be, the fan isnt kicking it but that my be due to how cold it has been out lately. Its a blue sesnsor should it be a green one? Any ideas guys ? | |

| well it was all working fine before it stood around would that cause the thermostat to clog up? i did flush the coolant system through last month to try and sort it anyway. | |

| well if it warms up in traffic and doesnt kick your fans in thats nothing to do with your sensor... your thermostat is stuck open... | |

| The snesor with the blue plug is it at the side of the head where the top hose joins? If it's blue then it's an old one the newer version has a green plug. Should be 4 pins? New sensor with seal is about £30 If your finding it's taking ages to get upto temp and only when in traffic it sounds more like Tiz said the thermostat is stuck open. Not too bad to change but for some reason VW fit stats in the bottom hose not the top one | |

| Yep, definitely a thermostat issue. My old man's having the same problem with his TVR Cerbera.
Did a bit of research and found out it was his thermostat. He still hasn't got round to fixing it yet though......lazy. | |
