| i need some camber in my life, was just looking at a build thread and they had used washers to get camber, anyone have any experience in this or thoughts? was thinking to just get some camber shims but i dont think they look to safe, maybe get an engineering company to make some up with threads on which would be better! | |

| i cambered my mk2 with washers and drove it for 3000 miles like a bloody nutter, done silly speeds on them and taken corners very hard and had no problems what so ever. Would recommend loctite on the threads of the bolts though. If you use longer bolts make sure they are high tensile. | |

| get some spacers made mate, prob a better bet, the washers sounds a bit dodgey! no point bodging, get it done proper as your car is an absolute master piece! | |

| remy. you need to pull all rear disc's then hubs off the rear bud. The shims go between your stub axle's and the beam. easy mate | |

| 30mm socket (the nut is only finger tight to take the nut off the hub to release the hub and bearings from the stub axle) Needle nose pliers(to remove the split pin over the hub nut) 14mm spanner(for caliper to carier bolts) WD40(cause things are always corroded up lol 14mm or 15mm(cant remember) socket for the 4 stub axle bolts) breaker bar(cause the stub axle bolts are friggin tight) Allen key bit(cant remember size) to take the caliper carrier off) Torque wrench(to torque the stub axle bolts up properly) Grease(to regrease your bearings when you put them back in)
I think thats all the stuff you need if i remember correctly. | |
