| i got a 2ltr block in my mark2 just under the thermostate housing is a adpter plate but its not need . on other 8vs there a blanking plate i need please any help please | |

| ive got a funny feeling you mean a plate that sits to the bottom right of the water flange on the front of the head??? if im wront i dont know which you mean due to the thermostat being in the waterpump, which is driven by the alternator etc on the left hand side | |

| its me being a prat...... thought it was leeking water ends up being a breather pipe connected to the block near the oil filter took the pipe off and car wouldn,t idle ,so i put it on and blocked up the hole again car idles ok , still got a small leak from somewhere near there. sure i can see a small trickle from that area might be from the oil cooler but not sure . would be easier to strip that whole part engine and put new gaskets on and some samco water pipes | |
