| well if finally pulled my finger out and bought a new car...van... thing lol its a 1987 Land Rover 110 2.5TD, absolutely love it may njot have the desired engine in it but i can see me keeping it for a long time where getting an engine swap may be done when im older..and wealthier lol Beige in colour.. lol had to get the brackets and other steel parts brushed and painted with Hammerite to protect it from the weather thinking of painting them black and maybe choosing other parts for a black and white theme... but got a feeling black and white is too obvious? ideas for a another colour to do little bits to cut up the beige please hoping to even paint it a nice bright white afer ive got things done on it, WAXOYL is on the agenda to protect the chassis, DIY ftw.. lol, should be a very very fun job... will get pictures up when im home Pictures...

| Sounds awesome dude, gets some pics up asap!
I love 110's, infact i love all defenders! Used to rock about in a 110 diesel when i did some work on the farm, was always a good laugh through the rough parts!
I still really want a 110 double cab pick up as a toy, a fully loaded one that is!

| it probably does do more than your jeep but when our diesel is 112p, yours is around 55p....
i remember being in canada in summer i was like look your petrol is around the same price per litre.. then was like wait.... the exchange rate is like half ours.. so $1.10 is 55p here.. i was jealous, 20 dollars half filled a car...
i hated it so much | |

| I adore these. I worked for landrover when I left college. I worked on a few camel trophys and a lot of publicity stuff. When the disco came out they were at the top on all promo expeditions. The support units were all defenders or wolfs. If she gets too much let me know, I could do with one in my life | |

well Bigmonty... everything has a price lol Believe me, that thing is worth more than I would ever offer you for it. My dad has two of the original camel trophy 110's sat in his barn, they are fetching over 30k a piece. Check out some of the trader ads a stock clean 110 is fetching 3K plus. These motors dont lose money. But keep it and love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Used to own a series 2 swb 2 ltr 1969 ! Used it when we used to do outdoor party`s,was a great laugh.took all the doors off it one weekend.Had a gig at the Junction, was not fun coming back home at 6.30 in the morning freezing cold,so had to put them back on ! Did get so many funny looks driving down the a 14 with no doors ! I gave it so much abuse, drove it around for about a month with no clutch, just used the starter to start it in 2nd and off you go ! One of my mates is about to buy an ex russian army 6x6 6ltr Zil 131,ex radio vehicle ,awesome but only does about 8 to the gallon ! http://www.tanksforsale.co.uk/Zil%20131_for_sale.htmHe is going to convert it to a camper | |
