| Hit a nice big bit of road kill on the way home, thats why its broken. it dragging along the road seems to have worn a nice amoun out of it lol.
yeah all the way down, which is really annoying me, cuz its needs another 12mm down on the front when the porsche are on. On standard 17s at the mo and just dragging the undertray everywhere lol

| I'm fed up with all this secret wheel nonsense. Matty has got some new halfords specials to run over winter. He's just too embarrased to admit the chav bk racing five spokes. | |

| yo matty how are good the ap coilovers? youve been running them for quite a while, would you recomend them?
im looking at what set to get for my mk4, i think ive had enough of the hottuning types, there just too damn bouncy. plus the ap's seem pretty reasonable price wise (about £370).

| Id say they are pretty good for the price bracket they are in m8. ride quality is quite good. wasnt much harder than my standard s-line suspension till i wound them all the way down. still not half as bad a hottunings would be. | |

cheers man looks like i know what im saving for now. i had hottunings in both my mk3's and they were fun but i dont want to risk the bounciness during winter. i can imagine the mk4 will be smoother anyways being a heavier car.

good stuff. il only drop it about 70mm and then let them settle before i go any lower. by the way in your search did you find any good topics about the problems with lowering mk4s? someone mentioned something about need new drop links because the anti roll bar hits in the drive shafts? ive been looking for like half an hour now and havnt found any definite answers.

| Yeah anything more than abotu 60-70mm drop you get issues with hitting the ARB, you can sort these in 3 ways. 1 being buy other drop links but if you plan on goin really low itll still hit, 2 buy a whiteline ARB which runs under drivshaft therefore solving the problem or 3 take the ARB off lol I feel a customary teaser pic is in order | |

Careful where you get them from, i bought droplinks from venon for the ibiza. 1 short blast down the road after i slammed the car pulled the bushes out the droplinks . Bloody crap so i sent them back and adapted the originals by cutting in half then seam welding them where i wanted They them halfords special wheels matty?
