| Update time for those interested Collected new wheels last weekend after the Gti international show. Compomotive TH mono's 8Jx15in et25. Approx 6 months use so pretty much near mint. I stripped the tyres off at work the following day I do have the centre caps too Yesterday, i collected another set of wheels from Simon(G60SG) on here Ronal LS's 7.5Jx15in et25. These need a refurb. I dropped 1 off at wheel genie in huntington to have a flat spot taken out which i should have back within the week. Not everyone's cup of tea but who cares, these are being wrapped in Federal RSR's(ordered) for possible track days and my annual nurburgring trips Thought i'd try 1 on for size Tried a TH mono on while i was at it Today, i went to the stanford hall show where i made arrangements to collect a red stripe interior Only need the rear bench tbh as i plan to collect Gem and our first child from the hopital in the golf . 2 weeks til due day I knew they was'nt going to be in the best of conditions for the price so i stripped the front seats down of the red stripe material so i can possibly retrim something at a later date. The frames are already in the car ready to be put in the scrap bin at work. Also came across 2x brand new yokohama A520's at the show. A cheeky haggle and a bargain was had . Just need 2 more for the monos now. | |

| The turbos are going nowhere. Can't bring myself round to replacing them with monos so I've sold them on. I have however received my track tyres so hopefully wheel genie has sorted my wheel and I can get on with refurbing the ronals | |

I have'nt done much to the arches on the front if you remember mate. Should just about clear once rolled. Adjustable top mounts will help too

My god its weird having been used to driving my T4 daily lol but i like it Should think it'll be MOT time soon so once ive got a fresh ticket, i'll crack on with a few mods

| Well, its been sometime since I last updated my build thread. Other than doing Edition38 show last year, cars have taken a back seat due to moving house. Anyways, now that my mate si's mk1 is nearing completion. Its time to kick start a full repaint of mine Bit later after mocking up where i'll be mounting my mocal oil cooler Did a bit after work today. Very happy to find my inner drivers wing is in great condition and tbh, very sursprised my original wings have survived for so long given that they've had the gti arch trim water traps on. Will be replacing them for new genuine wings or maybe fibreglass. I'll repair my old wings for future projects. Should have the passenger wing off tomorrow | |
