| Was my Sister inlaws wedding up near lincoln this weekend so i thought i'd fit the turbo's and go up in style Planned on taking it to the church and getting a few pic's of it with this But, i woke up saturday morning to see my golf covered in white stuff! So i decided to leave it as it would've taken ages to warm up. Gem had driven up in the trusty ibiza anyway. Pic of it warming up this morning in front of the main door at branston hall hotel Gave it a wash when i got home then went for a spin with Simon Cant wait til we get some good weather again so i can put the power down | |

bet she flys you got any more plans for her? Cheers Yeah she flys alright Gotta sort a prob with the hoses that hold the carbs to the inlet, they keep slipping off the carbs ends due to the flange being pretty small. Going to order a brand new stainless 4 branch soon unless i find out someone will have what i want on a trade stand at UD or early edition show. Ronal turbo's have been nitromors'd

| Got a pic of what you mean by beading mik?
I've used a 9mm thick jubilee on 1 that was common for slipping, its holding up well so i think thats the way i'll go for the rest.
Did'nt realise i only have 3 ply silicone aswell so you can see them pulsing when its running. Will replace for 4 ply but i may go for a bogg bros inlet so the hose needed will just be regular 45mm straights.

| Like this dude: But you don't have enough of a lip to have it beaded on the Carbs. have you looked into what clamps they use on the R1 bikes yet? | |

| i no this is pointless, but i can swage tube at work mate. but it needs to be a tube only, cant be welded to anything as i do it in a lathe. so would involve you cutting the inlter up | |

Its not the manifold side that its slipping on mate, its the carb side as the flanges on the R1 carbs are quite short.

Its not the manifold side that its slipping on mate, its the carb side as the flanges on the R1 carbs are quite short. I had this problem on the XR2 mate it was a pain in the ass. there is normally a little more area at the top and bottom that can fit some hose over but not the sides so i cut some half circles(ish) either side of the hose just to allow it to go onto the carb a bit more. Roughed the surfaces up on the carbs with a sharp knife(cross hatch pattern) to allow the silicone to grip better. then used those strong clamps with 10mm headed bolts through them usually used on intercooler piping they are VERY strong and can go super tight. Also make sure the inside of the silicone hosing is perfectly dry. Never had a problem after that but it used to annoy the hell out of me!

| As tiz said those clips are the stuff to go with lee. Old trick with silicone grips ans what i swear by when using silicone grips on bmx's and the like is hair gel. Just a thin smear inside. Just like glue | |
