| Looking at getting a couple of bits made up for the Jetta (only small bits) and need some advice as i have a small sheet at home and not sure the best way to cut/shape it.
Any advice would be most appreciated...Steph mentioned a name on here that may work with carbon fibre but i can't for the life of me remember who it was.
Cheers

| If its just flat sheet you want to cut its not too hard. Just a SHARP knife/blade and then some fine sand paper (wet n dry) to smooth edges. I did all my door cards and dash this way although bought a knife/circular scorer for the instrument holes. If its shaping you need then that's a different story! | |

| Hi dude
Not sure if its cooked or left...bought it as an offcut. Was planning on doing some door cards as well as a shaped piece to cover the clocks. The piece I have is only small a couple of mm thick and I got it to have a play with. | |

| carbon comes off a roll so u can fold it screw it up etc etc when it hasnt been cooked. when it has been cooked it will be more stiffer, it will bend but u wont be able 2 make a party hat out off it so 2 speak. it its 4 a door card best thing is 2 use ur old 1 as a template & draw roud it with sumthing & use a jigsaw. (couple off mm oversize) then sand the edges by hand. but be careful of splinters. if u try with a knife and u slip ul score the panel. if got some mk1 door cards if u wana c how iv done mine. hope this helps. sorry 4 the s,a | |
