| as some of you may or may not know i have recently brought a mk3 gti 2.0L 8v and was wondering if it was a ton of work fitting up a g60 super charger?
this wont be for a year or so (due to insurance) but i was just wondering how much work i should be foreseeing.
cheers | |

| it would be far easier and I'm fairly sure cheaper to just chuck a whole g60 engine in tbh, you'll need to lower the compression somehow (spacer plate is a very pikey way of doing this, not big or clever) so pistons and rods, you'll need brackets from the g60, some kind of charge cooler or intercooler and pipework. Quite a lot of dicking about I'd say, but what kind of power are you looking for? would the stock g60 not be able to reach it easily enough? | |

i know of the eaton ABF, wasnt it white? i read in a mag interview with him that he had spent about £300 petrol getting to UD and back which is rediculous | |

| i wouldnt personally its a lot of work for not much gain really. You could spend all the time and money messing about putting an eaton on and still not having much more power than a standard valver... spend the same amount of money on the valver and it would be good bye supercharged 8v | |
