decats are crap and pretty much useless on a car that was designed with a cat in mind, early engines around the 1992-1994 years respond to a decat or tuned cars etc but decatting a standard car is useless just sounds raspy tinny and horrible you also lose power torque and fuel economy | |

| I agree with Tiz, I had a vr6 and put one on. It gave no performance gains and was a pain in the arse because you have to put the cat back on for MOT time! Just a waist of money. | |

| From my experience de-catting alone doesn't do a great deal sounds sh1te and is a pain in the arse come MOT time. On the other hand a full system with mani, decat, and cat-back on my old honda released a few ponies and really enhanced the v-tak yo! The other option is a sports cat but they cost a fair wack. If it was me i would keep the cat on a standard car and just get a decent cat-back. | |
