lol you only melt plastic together and sometimes melt plastic in the gap etc. Soldering iron is the only tool you need.

my brother does plastic welding, he uses plastic rods that you melt in to the crack or split.

Yeah thats the way to do it, you gota mix it all together to make it hold. Sand it n fill it
