Cheers dude Tyeness will confirm that there was a massive smile on my face when she started up and ran like that Picked up a sheet of carbon fibre to make up a switch panel and to cover the hole left by the heater coming out. Just got to wait for my new linkage to turn up...which should be tomorrow or Wednesday. Got to make some brackets up tonight so that i can prop the back of the bonnet open for a bit more air flow. and a big thanks to tyeness and Foolhardy for their help at the weekend...it is much appreciated | |

| Hopefully will get the Jetta out on the road tomorrow...bit fooking sick of buying bits that will fit and then not having them fit. The new linkage looks so much better but the linkage arm to the carb won't allow the carbs to open more than half way as it fouls on the throttle arm of the carb. The only thing that is keeping me going at the moment is the thought of the sound and the quicker quarter mile time The Jetta better be quick once these bits are sorted... 36hrs and 18minutes and counting until i need to be at the rolling road...could be a long night tomorrow! | |

| Haha me too with yours dude, i have seen mine and it looks kinda similar as we couldnt get the twin cable to work, but hes got rid of all the parts that as coursing slack and twisting and has fitted better 1s and wire locked everything like he does his race cars so things dotn vibrate loose. | |

Just ordered some MOD strength loctite for the linkage on the carb throttle arm...that should hold it - tyeness wrote:
