Im thinking i might stick with it untill it blows up
seems a shame to swap it out when its got a good one in it already. Has got a bit of a lumpy sort of vibration latley though, could be an engine mount possibly not sure.
And yeah martin gave me an abf belt with the engine but i somehow managed to get it mixed up with the other 5 or 6 timing belts that was laying around. All sorted now though got the right belt on this morning just to turn it over by hand a few times make sure everything moved freely.
Have now split the head off the block and going to give things a clean up with some de-greaser. That can wait till next weekend though..
speaking of belts and going slighty away from the golf, had the combine out today to get it ready for cutting soon and relised/rememberd just how easy things are on a car engine
the very top pully is the crank btw incase anyone wonderd. Am hoping none of these need replacing this year
