decatting...

just wondering if a cat would work if it sits where the back box is?

just thinking at mot time it'd be easier to take the side exit off and put an adapted back box on (one thats a cat not a back box), rather than have to take the decat pipe out and put the cat back in.

i cant see any reason it wont work... but im usually wrong when i have these great ideas! lol

nope has to be the first thing in the system cause it has to get HOT and any further down the pipe and it wont get hot enough to make it work.

bugger! i did wonder if it had to be hot.

oh well ill just have to feck about under the car every year (once i actually get round to dedatting it!)!
