| Got the gearbox, starter and engine mounts swapped over to the new bottom end! encountered my first issue though, the oil cooler from my old bottom end doesn't fit the new bottom end! the shape is wrong. i'll get some pics of which one I need. if any of you have any kicking around that might fit let us know! | |

| yeahI needed to support the front! but then it helped loads later cos as I wound it down it tilted the engine forwards lifting the manifold studs clear of the downpipe. then we just man-handled it forwards on the pallet and wheeled it all out! | |

| in my opinion they look better without the original big centre caps. if i was yo i would find some smaller vw centre caps that cover the middle hole....as illustrated by my white bottle top wheels. | |

| great news! after totally flukning her mot on the following; near side sill corroded offside parking brake below 25% no rear fogs nearside brake lamp dim I had the sills repaired, the fogs do work, the numpty just didn't turn them on!!!! adjusted the handbrake and wired in a supplementary earth to cure the dim brake lamp. the bloke who took it away for repair also re-tested it for me so it came back all fixed up and with an mot! rock on:cheers: it's only taken me since march to get it back on the road:no: | |
