| please somebody help me! just got a mk3 golf 1600 (polo type engine) and its doing my head in. at half throttle it just dies, a little bit of throttle is fine and flat out is fine but the second you use half throttle thats it! its also idleing between 1400 and 2200rpm randomly! i plugged it into diagnosis machine it came up with tps (throttle position sensor) when closed (idle) and map sensor. so managed to find a free brand new still in the vw box throttle body and replaced it and also replaced map sensor. cleared the codes took it up the road and its the same. also come up with tps fault again! what is going on? the coil has a slight crack on it and dies when i go through a puddle lol. surly the coil wouldnt cause these faults? also checked for any air leaks but there is none. any ideas? | |

| You need to reset the throttle body alignment. Many posts about this on clubpolo. | |

| like whats been said you need to reset the throttle body with vag com so it knows where it supposed to be at idle, full throttle etc so it can work out everything in between. Otherwise have you checked all the wiring to the sensor etc? | |
