BigMontys Rant !!

Let it be said I like the old vee dubs. I love Mk1 Golfs, Roccos and i adore caddys. Mrs Monty Loves the Mk2 Roccos and the raddos. she has had a beetle or two and we have run a few t2 campers.
Over all old stuff rocks.
Mrs Monty decided we should have a new family car yesterday, so we set off in search nof a suitable vehicle.
I wanted a Volvo V70 estate, Mrs Monty was convinced a Passat estate is the better car. We drove plenty.
The Volvo IS the better car. However a passat of the same year is at least £1500 dearer.
looks like we are paying badge Tax on the newer stuff alon with the scene stuff. Im rekoning that dubs are taking the place of BMWs.

Haha your not wrong there mate, noticed you put joke tom cause i normally throw a paddy haha.

i no what you mean had wanted a mk4 golf gttdi but in the end went with a skoda fabia vrs as its the same car but its cheaper lol, just not got a vw badge lol

Audi took the place of bmw a looonggg time ago. Your not paying badge tax, v dubs just hold their money better . way of the world, all cars of the same sort arent gonna be the same price.

The skoda is actually about a million times better and like lee said faster too.

I agree, yet the volvo stands the mileage better. The common rail diesel is a fantastic engine IMO better than a tdi. I could go on but Im going to drive a few more next week so I may have changed my mind again.
One thing I can promise thou I wont be coming on here telling you I bought a Vectra
