| hi, i have resently got my hands on a mk2 16v and was wondering how much you guys can insure me for. it a 1.8 16v and im 18!! cheapest so far is about 1700 fire and theft :| | |

| Im 18 and got a mk2 GTI 16v. Its not too bad 1300 quid TPFT. i can live with that. | |

Often when you are young its not worth going comp as by the time you have paid your premium, your excess (usually high for young drivers on gti's etc) and lost the no claims you where building up it will have cost you more than the cars worth/what the insurers would pay out for the car if you do stack it so you may as well save the money in the first place...... | |

| im paying £2000 to insure a 1.4 mk3 golf 3rd party only, that i have had a year now, and its due in feb. i now want more power and the 16v cost me £200, it crazy paying all that for insurance but ah!! my number is 07864728859 | |
