| I know of three t5 1.9 owners that have had the dual mass flywheels swapped out for solid ones only to swap back to the dual mass within days as they run lumpy and feel like they are about to jump out of the bus.
Dual mass all the way I'm afraid.

| the clutch feels a lot lighter and much smoother. Will see what it's like when i swap the engine mount out on Saturday as the engine is definitely rocking and causing the vibration. | |

| They do knock out engine mounts too.
I've just spoken to gaz who works on them alot and he says he prefers the dual mass flys but apprently it makes very little difference its mainly driven by price (to change them).

| There must be about thirty or so of them out there as cabs in Cambridge and Gaz has worked on most of them.

He's my oracle. He sounds like a good man One other question for you...do you know if vans without the multifunction display can have the ice indicator on the dash to indicate icy conditions?

| Theres an ice indicator ?
My guess is you'd have to have an exterior temp sender and switch it on after pluging it in, but god knows where youd turn it on !
I can but ask !!
If it can be done I'd like it myself as I was running out of money when I ordered mine as I would've liked the dash but it was yet another £120 on top of an already impressive bill.
I wonder if it could be retro fitted

| Clutch is all sorted Drives like a dream now. Price is back for re-trimming and it is good! So will be done before the Summer. Just got prices back for fitting of side windows too as the back is too dark when you have passengers...so think i am off to have the sliding door one fitted next week and then the drivers side one done later on. | |

| Window being fitted tonight...expect photos tomorrow Bed being re-trimmed next month Just need to order the inch thick memory foam sheet to fit on top to make it uber comfy for sleeping in. Moved the electric socket from the back door to underneath the bumper as i was sick of tripping over the cable when it was mounted higher up...so refitted the VW badge painted in Satin black. Manged to curb one of my wheels on the way to riding at Chicksands a week ago, so am hoping to get it rubbed down and repainted this weekend. And i also realised once the wheels were on that i had managed to paint 2 satin black and 2 Matt black...so will redo the other one in satin black at the same time Am hoping to get the bottom half of the van painted in June/July time as the arches need repainting. Had a great quote from Ikustoms last year so will be booking it in with him to be done. | |

| Sounds good to me Going to clay the rear panel where the vinyl was on Saturday and give it a wash a polish...then need to get the vinyl put on the back panel next to the window, and sort the other side window out and replacement sticker for that side | |
