I set fire to it first so it burned away the sticky stuff. Scraped out the rest then used an old toothbrush with some cleaner like cif Wear gloves mate | |

| Nitromors paint stripper is best, then just rinse in water and dry off | |

| Little update Was'nt really happy with the captains seats and to be honest, i dont know what the fuss is about over them. Anyway, I sold them via ebay to fund something else. Eventually came across these Grey leather audi TT seats so a 4 hour round trip to lowestoft last saturday afternoon and they was mine. Started fitting them yesterday and finished off this morning. I'am well happy with them. What you think? Something else i've been messing with is this Volvo inlet manifold The whole idea was to make the inlet to IC better flowing by deleting out the egr totally. Its too long to keep the engine bay looking factory so i spent some time cutting it down and chopping not needed brackets off it. It also allowed me to rotate the intake part so it would line up with the factory IC Once i worked out the angle i needed, i had it tigged up. I'll wire wheel it or have it powdered coated before fitting. Not sure if it'll make much difference power wise but this cost me half as much as buying an egr delete pipe. Also needed to get a tyre as 1 was a little low on tread. Thought i'd try a 225/45/18 Looks much better so i think i'll be going for these when the rest have worn out. | |

| I've noticed a little water coming from the drivers side 'A' post area so i thought i'd investigate sooner than later. Removed the 'A' post trim to find the aftermarket ariel cable with a little water on it so down came the headlining to remove it. Think it was used for a phone as i still have the original ariel which works my radio. Culprit which looked crap anyway Sharkfin to replace it This is now connected to my stereo so i can remove the original at a later date | |

| Saturday afternoon after sorting my insurance renewal i started prepping the osr quarter panel and wheel arch on my van. Ground down, wire wheeled, filled, smoothed, primed and lacquared to seal it from the weather while i pay some attention to the other areas before i repaint the whole van. whilst i was waiting for filler to go off, i wire wheeled the side step then coated with por15. Then i fitted the black side step cover today that i collected a while back I also did the same with the rear step | |

| Had some windows fitted today Decided to get them fitted rather than doing myself as my weekends are pretty busy at the mo. I used uniquecampers down st neots as they a stone throw away from gemma's work so while the van was being worked on, i was able to meet her for lunch(Arr sweet). 3 hours later and i'am heading home. They done a pretty good job but they somewhat lack in the conversation department lol, probs due to them being busy mind or maybe they just thought my vans crap haha Couple other things i added a while ago Had a squeak from the clutch pedal so on investigation, i noticed it was the usual weak T4 pedal box prob. Spotted this little plate on ebay that solves it without having to weld or remove the box itself. Highly recommend you fit one before your pedal box breaks Also purchased one of these bonnet lifters | |
