| Felt like christmas this monring when this all turned up. Included my correct size tyres, foglights, tax and wind deflectors Quick test fit, think they look spot on, will look even better once the tints are on. Just waiting on my laminx, k and n filter and my rear brakes that should be here tomorrow Oh and: All bolted up now and treated with autosol, the rears are painted with OEM silver to keep it factory Pictorzzzzzz Got my tyres fitted and wanted to see what or if I needed to do anything spacer wise... tese pictures were taken with 6mm all round. Going with a 12 or 15mm on the rear and a 8 up front. Next day these arrived ^_^ Can of hammerite satin later... Onto fitting - the approved audi a6 coilover installation kit. Including big bar and big hammer Cheeky fitted shot Lows stright off the jacks, has settled since. Pic of the day: Also got it up on a ramp for a proper scout underneath, its all the orginal stainless/galvanised exhaust still not a mark or any dodgy bits underneath. Quick wipe of the exhaust: Other than that shes gunna be treated to a wash tomorrow if the weather isnt poop! So i'd finally got fed up with not having an i pod connection in the car so I got round to ordering a unit from xcarlink with the additional bluetooth module. I ordered it yesterday at 2pm and it was with me this morning, really nice bit of kit very simple to install that also charges the phone and it still allowed me to retain the changer function too, a couple of things that many other systems dont. It also allows you to play your music via the bluetooth which is pretty impressive. So out came the glovebox and half the center console to remove the stevie wonder fitted nokia handsfree kit that was in there.... I remember the car going off to have it done "professionally" a few years back, needless to say nothing was professional about it, wires installed by being twiddled together and semi covered with electrical tape so two hours later it was all removed and I had redone the loom tape. It lets you control the iphone/pod on the headunit like so: So I ran the cable down under the center to just behind the gear stick, any 4b owner will know of the useless pocket/tray thats there. So I removed it and set about fitting my cradle in there so I could plug the phone straight in when I got in the car: Bit of cutting later: Rough idea of whats going on: The finished article: I also got hold of some 16mm rear spacers to make the rear a bit more respectable: Other than that its booked into the body shop mid april to have the rear bumper sprayed thanks to a white van deciding he didnt like my freshly painted bumpers and off for a remap too after a big service consisting of clutch, timing belt and water pump. Anyway thanks for looking. | |

| Removed the i/c pipework and intercooler today and degreased it all. Also removed the EGR and inlet mani and got to work with the butane torch which decoked them. Got a poop load of build up out of them, also blocked off the TIP breather from the rocker cover and made up a blank for the exhaust side of the EGR. Meaning no more dirty pipes! B) Havent had chance to drive it up the road yet but i'm sure it will be much better with all the build up removed! May splash out on an FMIC and a hybrid | |

Fraid not. Not the cleanest or most amazing job. Removing half a dozen small trees with the car and a towrope today was fun. No pictures of that either though

| So it got remapped this morning Really happy with how it pulls now (it wasnt bad before) Needless to say its still got 150 miles to settle in. Anyway these had arrived when I got back: Flip you EGR! So no more poop going into the inlet now. Next up will be just maintainance, a big trip to Cornwall for the summer coming up and its due a service by then so more stockpiling parts. I may treat it to an fmic if funds allow. It will be bumperless as of monday as its booked in at the bodyshop for a tidy up before early edition. | |

| So umm I got some spanners out today. Decided to take the adjusters out the rear (as I has some rake going on) which made the front look too high so that got wound down too Before: Laters! After: Front after (and Sally) Its not as low as I could run it just dont want the agg of running sily lows. I will be getting some wider spacers in the front and roll/pull the front arches further I think  It should sit at the et I want it to then The vital items turned up too. | |

| So this arrived earlier this week: Now makes some funky whistling noise on idle: awesome. Has made a fair bit of difference performance wise too. Really quality piece of kit, the welds are perfect, inside the welds have been ground flat and it's polished flawlessly. Also sorted the common problem of the boost pipe clips failing causing a leak, made a big difference too, you can see how much play there was: Clutch is finally starting to slip so I've ordered a stage 2 black diamond which I should get fitted next week. | |

No it doesnt Paul. It will be the same as a passat or a4 of a similar age if that helps your search.
