any1 know much about bbs on mk1 golf

ive brought myself some bbs rs'

the fronts im keeping and they are 6.5j with a 1.5" lip,

i also need adaptors for these to fit but im looking at getting the rears a nice looking size but also a sensible size,

i will want a small amount of stretch with the tyre and also might have a small amount of camber on the back

basically im not sure what size lips to go on the rears as i will need to get 15mm adaptors

what do people suggest? cheers

Depends what offset they are mate

the et is 25 mate

got gti arch trims or not? really at et10 6.5j youre not gonna be able to go much wider. theyre sit pretty much like 7.5 RMs would. you should be able to go half in wider dish on the back, but you can always swap to wider inners cuz youll have plenty of room that way

no just the metal arches on a mk1 cl.

It depends how much poke you want etc really, poeple like different fitments. all you can do is try them and and measure and see where youd be happy with them sitting.

What fitment are they out of interest? could be worth redrilling them to get you another half inch of dish if they were direct to hub

cant re-drill them ive been told as they are a bit like porsche wheels they got the cut outs at the back unfortunatly,

im thinking 2.5" dishes if any1 knows where i can get some from?

they jap fitment ones?

yer they are 4x114.3 which is annoying but just looking to make them a little wider and a good stance on the mk1 really

they can be plugged and redrilled then bud, being already 4 stud.

just worked it out its cheaper to get adaptors so i can keep my options open and also make things better to sell (hopefully)

worked out if they are 6.5j with 1.5" dishes and i want to put 3" dishes on there and 15mm adaptors altogether its roughly 9.5" wheels on the rear...

dnt no what that will look like i will have to look it up

3in dish will make them 8s, unless you mean 3in more dish making them 4.5in dish? in which case youll need berg cup arches

gd job some1 can do the maths, i was thinking they gonna b 8j but then they gonna stick out more because of the 15mm adaptors,

theyll be ET minus 9 after adaptors at 8j. theyre gonna poke quite alot.

Like i said just put the wheel on and see what room youve got, its the easiest and best way to achieve what you want really.
