Will mk3 tdi exhaust parts fit my 1.9D?

My mot is a few months away and my exhaust is over-repaired, rusty, holes, smoky and far too loud.

I wanna look to replace manifold - back box with a stainless system to prevent the same problems a few years on. But all of them say tdi and not D (except back boxes at cats). Will tdi parts fit my D?

well the manifold obviously wont as its made to take a turbo. Id bet the rest of the system is bigger bore on the turbo stuff but from "cat back" i would say the tdi stuff will fit without too much bother. If i remember rightly a 2.0 petrol 4 branch will fit the diesel no problems for a bit of a laugh. Most VW 8v stuff is the same, petrol or diesel. If you did that then you could use a petrol exhaust system all the way back.

Interesting.. I'll have to have a poke about. Is what your saying - if I get a 2.0L 4 branch exhaust system. The whole thing will fit manifold-back box?

Are you saying you need all the exhaust from the downpipe back?
