legal help needed if any one can help

i was doing a friend of a friends car the head gaskit sent the head of to b pressure tested and skimed wich he asked and they have rung me bk and said it needs alot of work doing to it so let the bloke no he said na he dnt wana spend that much money so i said they still need to have the money for the diagnostic he wnt pay were do i stand i gt the keys and the car parked out side my house

Explain to your friend that he asked for it to be pressure tested and skimmed.

If he thought it would be ok and not have any further expence then why did he have it tested. its a test not a for gone conclusion it will be ok.

Point out that he needs to pay for the diagnostic work or you will be faced with paying for it yourself and then have to sell his car to make the payment, the scrap man will cover the cost of the diagnostics willingly.

It's not a nice conversation to have, you have to stand firm.

If he was any kind of "friend" then this wouldn't be happening.

The lesson that you need to learn here is to take some money up front for out of pocket expences before you even start the work. If there is a problem with them doing this then dont start it as there will be a problem with payment later.

I'm sorry you have to learn the hard way, I did.
