Players 5.0 - 18th September

Ok, so not sure whether MartinB has spoken to the Players guys, so I thought i'd round this up.
One of the last shows of the season so lets end it with a laugh and a good turnout!


Seems like we've got roughly 20-ish people going from here. That'll probably die down, but it's a good round number.
I assume a couple of them will be in the Hangar (Matty? Steph?), but either way, 20 sounds good.

I've spoken to Chubbs and Nelds and they said the general meet point last year was at Birchanger at 7.30am.
So it seems like a good idea to do that again. Meet at Birchanger at 7.30am, with the intention of leaving there at 8am.
North Weald is only 20mins down the road from there, so means we should be there by the latest 8.30am. Good timing to get a decent spot I think.
I've drawn up a map on Google to show the route (bear in mind, this is designed directly from my house, so you guys need to get yourself to point B, not point A)...

I'll email the Players guys to see what's going on regarding clubstands and what time they'd want us to be there.
Entry is obviously a tenner, and there's plenty of stuff to buy and loads of Rockstar to buzz your nuts off with.
Here's a quick recap of what's proposed...


Meet Point: Birchanger Services - CM23 5QZ
Time: 7.30am - Leaving 8am (ish)

Destination: North Weald Airfield - CM16 6HR
Time: 8.30am (ish)


I don't think there's a possibility of saving spaces on the clubstand, but i'll ask the guys anyway.
And i'm planning on being there all day so if you are too i'd take plenty of food with you (or money).

not gonna bother with being in hanger this year as its abit crap and you cant get out till the end, hoping to get a nice spot on the concrete instead.

I was going to suggest all meeting at Birchanger, so sounds like a plan

I'll be chugging along with my clan (me, her, n the kids(as long as it aint pissing down)) to the first show of the season.

I wont be leaving at stupid o'clock like you mustard guys but I will have a few spare seats if anyone wants a ride down (just bung me a fiver for fuel)

There are two or three spare seats, plus if anyone buys anything large then I have space for it in my boot, I can accommodate pretty much anything (obviously not a whole car).

Oh and if anyone breaks down I have my tow rope/some tools with me.

Obviously the earlier we get there, the better the spot will be.
So please, try to get to Birchanger Services by the latest of 8am if you want to join the convoy.

Alternatively, Guy has a couple of spare seats (mentioned above).
Anyone coming from a completely different direction can meet us there too.

If you get to Birchanger by 8am, then you'll be in on the clubstand.
Not sure about people turning up late so best to join the convoy and get in there with the rest of us.

Haha, mate, it was not a good day for the Bimmer...
The turnout of cars and quality this year was fantastic. Definitely show of the year for me.
