| Didnt know were to post so i put it in here
Today we went for a little drive in my golf was fine while running but as soon as it came to idle at a juction it would stall. When we got back to work it would still stall so had a look and the choke isnt working proply. Is there any way to fix this without buying a 2nd hand carb or should i just get one from a scrappy?
Cheers for looking and i hope i can get some help

| you can buy carb refurb kits, though not sure if your broken part will be included?
generally the answer to this question is the standrd carbs are crap and you should buy a weber 32/34 which will be better but unless you find a good condition one for good money it will cost you a couple of hundred new | |

| Yes you got the correct section !!
Which engine have you got in your mk2 ?
The standard peirburg 2e carbs are cack, you can strip and rebuild it, sometimes this works out fine. Generally they are worn and knackered, end of ! The tick over is on the back of the carb (13mm) you could turn it up a little, defo worth a try.
I hth.

| Her choke kept sticking on,so in the end I just took out the little flap in the top of the carb, then we had probs with the pull down not working right,so binned it and put another one on it,that goes t*ts up intermittently | |
