Scam whaaaaaat!

Recieved this email thismorning regarding my BBS mag centrelocks.

i am an oceanographer and am currently on the sea at the moment, i am buying the item as a gift for my dad,i want to make it a surprise gift for him,he won't know anything about the gift until they get delivered to him.So i want you to reassure me that the item is in good condition as you have described. I can only pay through PayPal. So please kindly get back to immediately so i can proceed with the payment and after the payment has been done,i have a pick up agent that will come around to pick the Item up immediately after payments.......Get back to me with your direct email address and your phone number so i can contact your directly.Looking forward to hear from you soon

The item is as described and as the pictures show. Paypal is fine but collection will have to be after it has cleared my account!

I'm about to make the payments when i had this little problem with the picking up of the Item, I think you remember what i said in my previous mail that I'm working presently on the sea and i am buying the item for my dad so i tried to secure booking with my pick up agent, but they asked me to pay first before they can make the booking, and they only accept Western Union Money Transfer for payments and they don't accept PayPal or bank transfer.
So I tried to send the money online but it's not going through and I am on the sea there is no way i can find a western union agent to make the transfer to my pick up agent, so i wanted to ask if it will be OK for me to include my pick up agent's fees together with your payments through PayPal,So you will help me wire the pick up fee to them via western Union Money Transfer immediately i pay you.I don't mean to bother you I'm sure you understand that I'm presently on the sea and there is nothing i can do to that.
The bottom line is after I have made the payments via PayPal,you will help me wire my pick up agent fee to them through western union money transfer, I just wanted to seek your consent before going ahead with the payments,I will be very happy if my offer is given a favorable consideration,Respond as soon as possible so that i can send out your Payment.

Well apparently now he has trasfered the money and have i recieved confirmation from paypal. ive given him no details whatso ever Seemed to get alittle bit pissy when i asked him to just call me cuz hes making now sense

Sounds dodgy still mate. Maybe you should arrange the delivery after payment clears

like i say the car is in really good condition other than the gearbox its great. yes i have paypal. and i need to know i can trust you and you obviously need to know you can trust me. the car is a 1.6 gti but like i say its just the gearbox that needs doing.

these people tried to do it when we tried to by a parrot they told us to pay and then they would send and we knew they wouldnt send it. and they never answered the phone when we called they only wanted to email us. its all a load of scammers n its hard to find a genuine buyer!!!

SCUM! Email them back telling them you have passed their details onto the appropriate authorities....

Had the same thing 3 times when selling my Merab wheels! All with different but equally unbelievably stories. f*****g twats

they will pay for the item via paypal then send a 'courier' ie a friend with a van or something to come collect them.

two weeks later he will start a paypal claim saying you never sent the item and you wont have a tracking number or a reciept etc to proove otherwise

due to paypals 'flawless' buyer protection policy, they will reach into your account and refund the scammer the money he paid.

yeah thats what i thought, plus all the crap about me transfering the money to the courier for him would mean they would have my bank account detais then.
