| FML  , I was on my way home from work tonight and built up speed into fourth gear. then went to put it in fith and nothing. my gear shifter went all loose and i cant get it in first gear or reverse. I can literally move my shifter about with my little finger  . does anyone know what it could be? I think it could be the linkage but im not sure. this is on my mk2 golf gti by the way. thanks | |

| waaheey me neither blind asa bat  ye sounds like you could use a new bush in your shifter make it feel abit tighter which cost pennys and your linkage is down past your battery so when u geta chance hava gander | |

| the bit thats circled is plastic and it cracked and that long metal bar came out so i got a hole new one. | |
