MK 2 Digital dash

Omg in this link the mk2 has a digital dash i want it!!

Any one know where i can get one?

very rare and a lot of money look spot on though

Normally on ebay for about £400 !! I looked at them because I love them, I was told to make sure they have the fixing brackets and loom

Just did a bit of research and aparantly there called DIGIFIZ

And for £400 i suppose its not to bad i really do love the look.

wot about getting a astra gte dig dash. ive read ages ago u can get them cheap and abit of work get them to fit

Prefer the original VAG part to be honest they look alot better than the vauxhall one.

Vw ones are the best and you can have either a vw logo or a rabbit on the dials which is cool!

Shame theyre all in kph though.

Yeah you would have thought someone would have done a conversion so they came up in mph

The mk2 astra dash fits a treat ,even though the digifiz dash looks miles better the astra one is easy peasy to fit and you can get them for about fifty squid and running for about the same.

All of a sudden they look a lot better, you could do alot with 300 squid.

if i could get a gte one fitted and working for 100 quid id be happy

ebay and Vauxhall forums mate.

im watching a couple on ebay atm for cheap cheap.

then its a case of working out the wiring and speedo part which i HOPE isnt too hard.

m8 im poo with electrics id have to pay sum one.

My mate davey Jones is constantly trawling the migweb poxhall site, I'll ask him to keep an eye out for a cheapy if you like.
Iirc he and I had a conversation about doing this conversion and im sure he knows how.

I'll bell him over the weekend and see.

I was told jonny its a bit harder than that because the dash uses different senders and wiring!!! I hope it is as easy as that because it will be a breeze ! I have been looking at these for months trying to justify £300+ on a dash

I'll phone him now and see what he says, I'm sure that there is a wiring diagram out there for the conversion, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing it.
I even considered it.

You need ....

the dash with the plugs and a couple of inches of wire,
the speedo drive if you can get it.
I have a wiring diagram being sorted right now (should be here tonight)


Fitting the dash is easy enough as it comes apart, use the front of the golf binnicle.
There are guages for
Fuel,
Oil pressure,
Voltage,
Revs,
Speed,

These all work off of the senders in the golf already fitted.

He reckons dashes go for about £50 and really good ones including all the bits about £100

I can provide the wiring diagram for both the astra dash and the Golf so it doesnt take much tinkering to mate the two together.

the wiring diagrams would be awesome.

ive found the gte digi wiring diagram, but a set would be brilliant.

about the speedo, ive heard that you can use a mk3 digital speedo cable, as long as you have the transducer thing for the gte dash (blue, brown and black wire on it) and splice the two together.

Hmm This has proved to be a usefull convo, maybe we should buy one each and fit em together im a pretty good dab hand at wiring. plus got all the tools to do it?

I love the VAG one but wont sacrifise buying it unless its in MPH which i dont think ill ever get.
