| this is my 'sensible' daily driver. its a 1996 rover 100 with 41k on the clock! this is when i picked it up then i got it freshly mot'd and taxed and gave it a freshen up then fitted my wheels and tyres then fitted my gti rev counter clocks then fitted mgf front brakes then fitted my 1.6 16v lump wich was is much better! fitted the bigger fuel pump and made a removable cover got some perspex windows made. only got 2 rear 1/4 windows done so far. then i took it to the pod and ran a 15.095 very pleased with that. could have been much faster with decent tyres as i was still spinning in 3rd! then i rebuilt a spare gearbox i had with different ratios so it should be better up the pod then i brought this! its a 143bhp 1.8 vvc engine. just sent my wiring looms off to be made and should get them back in the next week or 2! then its swap time! | |

| Good on ya for starting something different from the norm! Always loved the metro. Probably because my parents have owned 3 of them when I was growing up.
When I find one in decent nick, I'll nab myself a Rover Metro GTI or an MG metro Turbo some day. So much fun, just like driving a go-kart!

| That VVC lump will be evil! A few choice mods and it will be quick as s**t off a shovel. I'm going to keep an eye on this me thinks | |

I'm going to keep an eye on this me thinks no engine mods just yet. i struggled putting 110 bhp down up the pod let alone 143! first mods will be decent suspension set up and proper tyres!

| no the standard gti loom will not run the vvc. for starters the loom to ecu plug on a gti is a single plug and the vvc is a twin plug. no guages will work and theres no way of running the vvc mechs. having one made for £60 wich i think is a very very good price. also the vvc ecu wont work with the 5as (alarm ecu) or key fob so they have to be coded together too. | |

| i guess its about time i updated this. i took it down the pod again with some even worse tires and managed a 15.01 with a stock 1.6! with decent tires i could have run a high 14 easy. also fitted my vvc engine! its now a bit stupid and my mate cant keep with me to 100mph in his twin turbo supra! very pleased with it so far. also got myself some slicks for the pod fingers crossedwith much more bhp and and sticky slicks i should see low 14s possibly high 13s will find out in jan. anyways heres a few pics | |
