hi everyone i'm new

my ride is currently a matt black classic mini and my project car is a white mk2 golf gti early (b reg) 3dr
i picked it up in april came with loads of service history and receipts its had some engine work its a 1.9 kjet bigger valves and stuff K n N
got it with no mods other than engine work done some repairs on it like split and cracked pipes it also needed some welding i found once i got it home but thats ok as i'm a welder. cut out the rust and let in new metal so its all solid now. i broke another mk2 early this year also got it for the alloys and coilovers and other nice bits for my golf and sold alot of the rest on ebay, still got a load of parts if any thing needs something Smile

i've replaced the tailgate for a rust free one and tinted the rear screen also repaired all the broken wires under the rubber gators so now everything works wiper etc
banged a momo steering wheel and boss on as well and a few other chrome bits. my plan for it is to wait for my insurance drop next year (25) then drive it as my daily my main influence has to be randy williams's mk2 golf style wise but i'm abit away from that sort of full paint job currently, i want to sort out getting my own fabrication shop opened 1st. so for now i'm unsure weather to try and save the stone chipped white paint that overall is worth saving (50+ stone chips) which will be alot of hard work for a colour i dont really care to much for or to do a spray it later job with some matt black and get the body nice and straight with some mods then save for the proper paint to go on.

things i'm trying to do/going to do

90's spec this old 80's car so i wanna do away with the 80's doors and get some with the single bit of glass
fit the big bumpers i've got for it
decide if i wanna use the side skirts i've got (one needs a slight repair)
source a n/s gti arch as i have the other 3
find skinny 3dr rub strips or not run any at all
change the front grill to a single light grill with the red strip around it
fit my coilovers
get some better tyres for my tsw alloys
upgrade to keyless entry and fit a new alarm system
delock the front handles/ possibly go for some mk3 handles
fit one of my custom steering wheels
sort out the head liner
get some black leather seats and door cards and matching bench seat

i make custom car parts so if anyone needs something making let me know and like i said i'm a welder / fabricator
i do mot repair work as well and servicing so big or small let me know i'll post up some pics of my custom work at some point

o and my next project cars guna be a mk3 golf

mattt
