| Well, its about the time now that im looking for a new car. Only problem is i cant really make up my mind on which one to head towards, My current ones iv been looking at are;
Renaultsport Megan R26. 230 VW Golf Mk5 GTI Audi TT Mk1 225 (hard top) Seat Leon Cupra 225
Obviously in my time i will try and get test drives in all of the above cars aswell.
Just looking for peoples opinions on the above cars, or maybe suggestions on other cars that people think may be suitable, Im 21 currenly hold 1 years NCB and am currently driving a Leon cupra 180. My budget will be about £8000 also.
Thanks. | |

| i bought a mk5 today, its only 1.4 but i dont need bigger engine as my mk2 is getting a abf conversion over winter. i paid 8.5k pretty much brand spanking new, 9K on the clock, and this car has alot potential, already looking for rims and stuff.
how about a mk2 s3? | |

after thinking of the boxster once before, THEN thinking of service cost and all other cost of the upkeep, kind of got put off. i have a mate that works for porsche so i know some of the cost of things.

My brother has a 06 boxster with the newer, less frequently serviced engines and it still costs a bomb to run! the standard oil change service is about £400 from Porsche. and the older ones (the ones for £8k-£16k) need to be serviced more and aren't as well built. I'd go for the TT or mk5. Have you thought about anything RWD like jap of BMW - you could get a nice bugeye scooby or a E46 330 for that money!

| Might be out of your price range as i don't know what they go for but the Mk5 Edition 30 are worth a look. Or Mk4 R32 are super cool | |
