I was very lucky today.check your fuel pipes! 496877
I was going to take my beetle for a last drive before I swapped the insurance over so I started it up. I had to wait for a few minutes while we moved a car out of the way. Luckily I opened the deck lid to find petrol pouring out of the pipe all over the engine. If I had driven it and let it warm up, it would definitely have set on fire. I had only driven it 2 weeks before and it was all fine.
The fuel pipes looked perfect but had perished around the top near one of the clamps.
Ive changed them now so it's all good again.check your fuel pipes! Icon_biggrin
Check your pipes if you drive an old car because for the sake of a few quid piece of pipe you can lose your car.check your fuel pipes! Kopfschuettel
