my mk2 golf seems to be reving up and down a little bit on idle does anyone know what may be causing this? thanks Smile

Possibly the ISV unit, cylinder shaped thing near the rocker cover mk2 reving 460227

vacuum leak. check all the pipes from the throttle body to the air filters etc.

better still go to a garge and get some new stuff and replace.


but defo try the isv first, use carb cleaner to clean it out

Mine did that. Tap the USV with the handle of a screwdriver. Thats what I did, was fine after.
